Who is this program for?

We offer both pre and postnatal programs for moms (to be) who want to enjoy the benefits of exercise during and after pregnancy in a safe way by a certified pre and postnatal coach. 

Our FITbump program guides women through every trimester, minimizing complications and preparing the body for labor and delivery.

The FITmom program is for those moms who are ready to (re)gain their body confidence and to build strength both mentally and physically to become their best version for themselves and their baby.

It's essential to consult with your OB/GYN to determine the safety of exercise during pregnancy, as individual circumstances vary. In general, staying physically active is highly encouraged during this time and offers a wide range of benefits for expectant mothers and their unborn babies, for example:
*Improved cardiovascular fitness, preparation for the physical demands of labour and postnatal period,
*Decreased risk of pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia, pregnancy-induced hypertension and gestational diabetes,
*Improved energy levels, sleep, mood and self-esteem,
*Reduced back and pelvic pain,
*And most of all enjoyment.

This is suitable once you have had your 12 week ultrasound.
It is safe and generally recommended to exercise all the way through your pregnancy however due to the higher risk of miscarriage in the first trimester, it is preferred that women are in their second trimester onwards when starting a training program when the risk is considerably reduced.

Prenatal personal training is specifically designed to accommodate the unique needs and changes in a pregnant woman's body. Exercises are modified to ensure safety and comfort, focusing on strengthening core muscles, improving posture, and addressing common discomforts associated with pregnancy.

You need a written clearance letter from your gynecologist before starting any training program and on the pre-exercise screening form you will be asked to confirm that you have communicated with your medical provider/gynecologist that you are attending the training program.

Yes, absolutely! Our postnatal program is designed to cater to all fitness levels, including beginners. We understand that every postpartum journey is unique, so we will tailor the exercises to meet individual needs. The program starts with gentle and progressive workouts, ensuring a safe and effective transition for new moms, gradually building strength and endurance over the 16-week duration.

We recommend that you wait until you have a clearance from your gynecologist to exercise and you are at least 6 weeks post vaginal delivery and 8-12 weeks post C-section.

You don't have to bring your child along to classes however they are very welcome if you decide to do so. Please be advised that you are fully responsible for your child's safety and well-being.

As parents, we understand what it's like to have an upset baby on your hands so don't worry about having to keep them quiet! The trainer will happily help to tend to your baby's needs if you wish so that you can continue with the training session.

Feel free to stop and feed your baby at any point during the class and join in again once you're done.
Breastfeeding is welcome at any of our classes.

I recommended you bring a water bottle, a yoga mat and wear clothing/footwear that is comfortable and sporty friendly.

Absolutely! Our program includes specialized exercises to address diastasis recti and promote core restoration. We focus on strengthening the deep core muscles in a way that supports healing and prevents further strain. However, it's essential to inform us about your condition during the onboarding process so that we can tailor the program to meet your specific needs.
